Mitt Romney Hits Trump’s ‘Disgusting Coddling’ of Bigotry Over KKK Snafu
You might remember that before Donald Trump turned his ire towards Marco Rubio, he was battling with former Massachusetts governor and GOP candidate Mitt Romney.
Trump and Romney have expressed disdain for each other multiple times in the past, but their latest sparing match occurred last week after Romney called on him to release his tax returns. The insinuation was that there is a “bombshell” that would come to light due to Trump’s audits.
While a great deal of campaign focus has been diverted to Trump’s tepid effort to condemn his white supremacist supporters, Romney isn’t letting him off the hook for this either:
A disqualifying & disgusting response by @realDonaldTrump to the KKK. His coddling of repugnant bigotry is not in the character of America.

Both Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz have both condemned Trump over this on the campaign trail already.
