Mourners Attend Funeral of Slain Fox Lake Officer Joe Gliniewicz
Earlier today, a funeral was held in honor of Joe Gliniewicz, the police officer whose murder at Fox Lake, Illinois set off a manhunt that captured attention across the country. As the community mourned the beloved officer, memorials and honorifics were set up across the town last week, culminating with an emotional eulogy from Gliniewicz’s wife.
The procession has come to an end, but tweets and photos have captured the speeches made at the church service, as well as the outpouring of sympathy and praise for Gliniewicz’s family, and the community shaken by his death:
