Neil deGrasse Tyson Single-Handedly Debunks the Science of Gravity
It was only a matter of time before America’s most-beloved astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson weighed in on the weekend’s box office winner Gravity. The director of the Hayden Planetarium and frequent scientific expert on shows like Real Time with Bill Maher, went on a devastating Twitter rant Sunday to outline everywhere the film went wrong.
Below is everything Tyson found factually inaccurate, most using the formula “Mysteries of #Gravity.” Warning: highly scientific spoilers abound for those who have not yet seen the film.

Tyson’s reaction to the movie wasn’t wholly negative. He did admit that the main event that sets off the disastrous events can happen. And he said that he actually “enjoyed” the film despite the inaccuracies.
