New Footage Shows Vegas Shooter Bringing Bags Full Of Guns Into Mandalay Bay Hotel
It was nearly six months ago when Stephen Paddock opened fire on a Las Vegas country music show and committed the worst mass murder in modern American history. Many questions remain unanswered in terms of why Paddock killed and injured scores of people, but as the investigations continue, new security video of him has emerged.
The New York Times obtained surveillance footage of Paddock’s time at the Mandalay Bay hotel in the days before the massacre. Most importantly, the video sheds light on how Paddock made his plans, transported his deadly cargo, and how he chose to target concert-goers at the Route 91 Harvest festival.
The footage shows Paddock as a solitary figure who kept a low profile as he ate in restaurants, gambled in the casino and had inconspicuous interactions with the hotel staff. Paddock was filmed making multiple trips in and out the resort, and when he returned, he frequently escorted bellhops as they brought more and more suitcases up to his suite.
Paddock had at least 21 bags brought to his room, and they contained the guns and ammo he used to take the lives of more than 50 people.
