The White House has put out a new statement this morning clarifying the President’s comments on Charlottesville yesterday.
President Trump‘s statement condemning the violence included the phrase “on many sides” and set off a firestorm of controversy over what seemed like the suggestion of a false moral equivalence.
The White House statement today says “of course” his statement includes condemnation of specific extremist groups like the KKK and Neo-Nazis:
