North Korea Just Banned Sarcasm and They Don’t Look Silly At All
How many times have you thought to yourself, “Wow, Kim Jong-un doesn’t have any borderline autophagic self-doubt problems at all!”?
Well, guess what? If you said something that sarcastic in North Korea, you’d be in prison, buddy!
The supreme leader of the DPRK has absolutely no time for sarcasm. He’s really, really sensitive about being made fun of, which never happens. (Sorry, that was sarcasm again. It totally does happen.)
Sarcastic comments or jokes about him or his totalitarian regime are not allowed, according to the Independent. Kim Jong-un is afraid people only agree with him “ironically” so he wants to make sincerity the national standard.
Whether it’s true that his fans actually like him remains to be seen.
