‘Not Even a Real Pastor:’ Montel Williams Spars With Trump Supporter in Epic Twitter Fight
Montel Williams has made it perfectly clear in the past that he dislikes Donald Trump and will never vote for him. Throughout Sunday evening, the radio talk show host ended up locking horns with one of Trump’s most ardent supporters in quite the Twitter duel.
Pastor Mark Burns is a regular on Trump’s campaign trail, and last night, he posted a tweet complaining about why liberals and the media didn’t just hurry up and call the explosion in New York a terror attack:
Once again race baiting #Dems & #MSM failing to call it what it really is, #terrorism. We need @realDonaldTrump #ChelseaExplosion #Chelsea
— Pastor Mark Burns (@pastormarkburns) September 18, 2016
Trump did something similar during the night when he assumed the explosion was caused by a bomb before an investigation could confirm, and then he proceeded to talk about his poll numbers at a campaign event. Even so, Williams was in no mood to see Burns doing the same thing:
I've had enough of your crap? Sit the hell down, shut the hell up and let ATF/FBI/NYPD do job https://t.co/knITy8tFhN

As the day went on, Williams took more shots at Burns, calling him out for falsifying details of his past and saying he is a “poser” and “not even a real pastor.” This eventually drew Burns’ attention:
You can disagree with my politics, but You dont have to insult me personally. We HAVE to STOP fighting each other.. https://t.co/8ZOloUBZ6a
— Pastor Mark Burns (@pastormarkburns) September 18, 2016
But Williams wasn’t having it:
You politicized a serious incident while law enforcement was STILL in danger – I'm a NY'er – ur not. Stay in ur lane https://t.co/980tmix5sL
— Montel Williams (@Montel_Williams) September 18, 2016
And from there, things continued to spill out as the fighting began:
I dont have to be FROM NY to care about whats happening IN NY. My lane is caring about MY COUNTRY. I respect you sir https://t.co/4TQWEr4ZjH
— Pastor Mark Burns (@pastormarkburns) September 19, 2016
No, your "lane" is being a 1/2 bit con man pretending to be a pastor shilling Trump for ??. My resume is accurate ;) https://t.co/N4uPQviR7O
