NYC Female ISIS Supporters Plead Not Guilty for Alleged Terror Plot

Two women who were recently arrested for an alleged bomb plot in New York City pled not guilty in a Brooklyn federal court today.

The New York Post reports that Noelle Velentzas and Asia Siddiqui, two ISIS-loving roommates from Queens who were the target of an FBI sting operation, planned to fight the charges against them. According to the complaint filed against the women, they had pledged support to ISIS, critiqued the methods of fellow Americans who attempted to defect to the terrorist state, and attempted to build pressure cooker bombs, possibly to detonate at an NYPD police funeral.

Apparently, the girls have male supporters:

But Noelle Velentzas, 28 — who calls Osama bin Laden one of her heroes — appeared the more unrepentant of the two as she was led into Brooklyn federal court for the brief arraignment.

Velentzas held her head high, smiling and winking at three male supporters as she was led, rear-cuffed, into the courtroom. She spoke the words “Not guilty” calmly and clearly, and made a kissing motion with her lips toward her pals in the gallery as she was led out again.

The next hearing is scheduled to take place on May 20.
