Olympic Bobsledder Has Close Call With Empty Elevator Shaft in Sochi Hotel

The close calls keep coming: first an athlete had to bust through a stuck door to get out of a bathroom, now there’s been a run-in with a ghost elevator. Sochi 2014!

Rebecca Wilson, brakeman for the UK women’s bobsledding team, tweeted the following photo of an empty elevator shaft on Saturday:

Note that Wilson’s hotel was within the Olympic Village, where construction was supposed to be complete—unlike the surrounding area, from which journalists have been tweeting photos of unfinished hotels.
