Omarosa Likens WH Departure to Leaving a ‘Plantation’: ‘I’m Emancipated’
Reality TV star-turned-White House official-turned-reality TV star Omarosa Manigault Newman took her biggest shot at President Donald Trump in the latest episode of Celebrity Big Brother — likening her time in the administration to a slave plantation.
While she has made several controversial comments on the show — including saying she wouldn’t support Trump if he runs again and calling out Vice President Mike Pence’s “scary” views — Omarosa’s ended her time on the series with a bang, as she voted off in the last showing.
“Ooh, freedom, I’m emancipated. I feel like I just got freed off of a plantation… I’m inside trying to fight for my own political life while I’m going into meetings with people who are ignoring me. Because I was black, people wouldn’t even talk to me.”
Omarosa went on to claim the president uses his tweets to cause widespread outrage, which in-turn distracts the media from his policy proposals.
“Donald will tweet something, insult somebody’s face, the press will be on that for three days and we push through 16 unfunded mandates and nobody would notice,” Omarosa said. “What he does is tweet something controversial and the news distracts and spins over [it]. But, you know, they still fall for it.”
