More than 100 Arrested in Violent Baltimore Protests Released Due to Paperwork Issue
Roughly 100 individuals arrested during the more violent protests in Baltimore were released last night due to paperwork issues. Yes, because of a paperwork backlog, all those protesters went free.
According to the Baltimore police, it was a “chaotic situation” on Monday when protesters, rioters, and looters clashed with the cops, and so many people were arrested but in the confusion they couldn’t really keep track of who was being charged with what and who arrested them.
A police spokesman said they plan on reviewing all the information to sort that out.
One of the freed protesters was Joseph Kent, who was grabbed and arrested on camera by the police on Tuesday night.
As for Freddie Gray, the man whose death triggered the protests in the first place, the Baltimore police said yesterday they won’t be making the report on his death public.
