Over the Weekend, the ACLU Got Six Times More in Donations Than in an Average Year

As Donald Trump‘s immigration ban executive order caused an uproar over the weekend, some protested by demonstrating outside of airports that held detainees and rallying outside the White House.

Others did it by donating to the ACLU, which was working on behalf of those detained and anyone affected by the ban. Now, according to CNN Money, they have gotten almost $24.1 million in donations this weekend, which definitely eclipses the $4 million they usually get in a year.

$1 million of that is from Lyft, of course. Other companies will surely step up to donate in the coming days.
