Paramount Launches Best Director Oscar Campaign for Michael Bay’s Work in Transformers 4

IN A WORLD…where movies all kind of suck…where Hollywood focuses solely on sequels and reboots of old franchises…one studio strove for excellence above all else, by believing that Transformers: Age of Extinction was worthy of a Best Picture Oscar.

Or at least that it should be considered for one. Behold:

In addition to their bid for Best Picture, Paramount would like Transformers: Age of Extinction to be considered for the following:

  • Michael Bay, Best Director
  • Ehren Kruger, Best Adapted Screenplay
  • “Battle Cry” by Imagine Dragons, Best Original Song
  • A bunch of people from ILM, Best Visual Effects
  • “All Categories”
  • The movie has an 18% fresh score on RottenTomatoes.com, but hey, a billion dollars is pretty indicative of serious cinematic quality, like in this scene where Transformers riding dinosaur robots battle some other robots, one of whom is smoking a robot cigar:

    Pure art.
