Pastor Sues DJ Whose Remixes Of Her Sermons Went Viral in #UNameItChallenge

The woman responsible for the #UNameItChallenge is suing because she doesn’t want to lose her reputation, earnings, credibility — you name it.

So, to be brief, the challenge was started by a guy named DJ Suede after be remixed a song by paster and gospel singer Shirley Caesar. Like the Mannequin Challenge or Trump Is Coming Challenge, participants film themselves doing something specific. Instead of standing still or running away, as required by Mannequin and Trump Is Coming respectively, though, anyone doing the U Name It Challenge just dances to Suede’s remix of Caesar’s sermon/song.

Here is the song, complete with some examples of the dance:

You get it.

Anway, Caesar, who was talking about how funny the challenge was and even doing her own version of it a few weeks ago, has now filed an injunction against Sued, alleging that she’s lost out on $5 million in profits since the clip went viral just ahead of Thanksgiving, according to CBS 46.

Specifically, she wants the following video removed because its references to drugs and alcohol violate her Christian brand, she says:

She has authorized Snoop Dogg to sample the song before.
