Something is happening at the Republican National Convention and it appears to be nothing short of chaos.
Several people have been handcuffed. Some remain on the ground. Cops have swarmed the area and blocked off movement #RNCinCLE

Some reports indicate that there was a flag-burning demonstration that got out of control.

References to “the flag burning thing” mean that it was a known and possibly planned event, but the appearance of “a zillion” cops, according to the LA Times‘ Matt Pearce, indicates that things went a little off-the-rails.
Protesters appear to be being arrested simultaneously but it is unclear if they are related to the flag burning.
