Planned Parenthood Defends Itself In Tweet By Citing…The Minions?
Millions of children everywhere are still fawning over the movie Minions, and America has probably never been prouder. While there are certainly a great deal of parents who only saw it because kids will pester them until they do their bidding, they could’ve at least taken solace in the fact that this movie has absolutely nothing to do with abortion.
Well, not anymore.
Planned Parenthood has been fending off waves of controversy in recent weeks after two videos went viral, showing their officials discussing the sale and harvest of fetal tissue. The organization has defended itself by claiming the video is heavily-edited, and by saying that they were filmed by an anti-abortion group that has tried to interfere with and vilify them for years.
Today, the organization took to Twitter for a new PR strategy: asking the minions for help:
Friends who #StandWithPP: Stay strong. The anti-abortion minions want to bully us into silence. That's not happening. pic.twitter.com/Oudi9ePIxF
