Pope Francis Calls Paris Attack a Part of ‘Piecemeal World War III’

Pope Francis addressed the Paris terrorist attack in a brief interview today, calling it a piece of World War III.

The pope spoke to TV2000, an Italian broadcast network, and said that he is “moved and saddened” by the killings of innocents. He said he would pray for the families of the victims.

When asked about his previous remarks about a “piecemeal World War III,” Pope Francis said, “This is one piece. There is no justification for these things… This is not human.”

The Vatican put out this statement in response to the terrorist attack:
