Under His Skin? Trump Fumes That Don Lemon is ‘Dumbest Person in Broadcasting’
Remember when Donald Trump used a prayer breakfast to attack Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s Apprentice ratings?
Our president loves television. He is devastatingly interested in ratings and routinely watches — and interacts with — cable news. If there’s one thing he knows, it’s cable news. Believe us.
So, Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, and even network-based Stephen Colbert owe Trump a big thank you. After all, he slammed them in his recent interview with Time.
Time‘s Zeke Miller opened this portion of the interview write-up like this:
President Donald Trump says he thinks CNN’s Chris Cuomo looks like a “chained lunatic” on television. CNN’s Don Lemon is “perhaps the dumbest person is broadcasting” and CBSLate Show host Stephen Colbert is a “no-talent guy” who talks “filthy.”
Trump revealed he will no longer “watch or read things that aren’t pleasant,” meaning CNN and MSNBC.
Looking past the fact that the president just admitted to willfully ignoring any source of criticism of himself, we gotta hand it to Lemon, Cuomo, and Colbert. If Trump is coming for you, you know you’re doing your job of holding the administration accountable correctly.
