‘Real-Life Goldilocks’ Arrested in Florida for Breaking and Entering

If there ever was a “real-life Goldilocks,” of course it would be in Florida. And Florida teen Chancy Layton has earned that fairy-tale nickname after being arrested for breaking into someone’s house, crashing there, and making herself some food.

According to police, Layton said a friend of hers told her the house would be empty and she’d be able to crash there for a while. The family who lived in the house came back to find her there, with “lots of bottles of wine that she drank” in clear sight. And just like in the fairy tale, when the homeowners return, Layton ran out of there. (Only Goldilocks didn’t forget her purse and passport in her mad dash to get out of there.)

Layton only made it a block outside before running into a local deputy. She was described as having trouble breathing and was sent to the hospital. After she was released, she was put in jail until she posted the $8,000 bond. Police are currently searching for this supposed friend of hers who told her the house was empty.
