Report: German Police Arrest Three Suspects in Connection With Paris Attacks
According to reports in German media, the authorities in that country have arrested three people in connection with Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris.
“After receiving leads we arrested two women and one man,” a police spokesman said in a statement. He would not comment on the suspects’ ethnicity or nationality.
Details are still sparse, but German sources say the arrests took place in the town of Alsdorf, a few miles away from the city of Aachen. The arrests reportedly took place in front of a jobs center.
European police forces are also searching for one of Friday’s attackers, 26-year-old Salah Abdeslam, who is warned to be armed and dangerous. Abdeslam was stopped near the Belgian border in the hours after the Paris attack, but released because he was not yet a suspect.
