Report: Kaepernick ‘Likely’ to Make 49ers Roster
It appears as though Colin Kaepernick will survive tomorrow’s NFL mandated roster cuts and remain with the San Francisco 49ers.
Mike Garofolo of the NFL Network is reporting that the Niners QB is “likely” to remain with the club and make the final 53-man roster.
Per @MikeGarafolo, sounds like #49ers QB Colin Kaepernick will likely make the roster. He stated his case to be 1 of their 2 best QBs

Chip Kelly, the 49ers head coach, punted when asked about Kaepernick’s roster status during last night’s postgame news conference.

Bleacher Report polled seven anonymous NFL team executives earlier this week — all of whom believed that the 49ers would cut Kaepernick from the roster, and that he would not be picked up by another team.
According to multiple reports, Kaepernick is due to earn $11.9 million this season, plus an additional $125,000 for each game in which he’s on the 46-man gameday roster. The entire $11.9 million is guaranteed, so the financial incentive for the 49ers to sever their ties is limited.
