Several members of the Secret Service are reportedly in hot water after an intruder breached the grounds of the White House for at least 15 minutes last week.
CNN states that the Secret Service’s Office of Professional Responsibility will soon recommend disciplinary action against six agents and officers who were active during the incident where Jonathan Tran hoped the White House fence. A Secret Service spokesperson declined to elaborate on the what kind of disciplinary action would go into effect, though the Office of Integrity is expected to render judgment over the matter.
The Secret Service has come under fire due to several security issues and questionable decisions concerning them in recent weeks. The Service put out a public statement several days ago where they elaborated on the fence-jumping incident and announced plans to beef up security.
