Roger Stone, the famed “Nixon-era dirty trickster” turned alt-right internet star, lashed out at Sam Nunberg in an Instagram post on Friday, claiming his former buddy was a “cocaine addict.”
Stone appeared in an Instagram video with his grandson from Florida, declaring, “Sam Nunberg is a cocaine addict and any news organization that takes anything he says seriously is courting a serious lawsuit.”
“Coke head,” Stone added, after a puff on his cigar.
Nunberg, a former Trump aide, recently made some disparaging comments about Stone — who he previously called his “mentor.”
Nunberg appeared on MSNBC Thursday night and told host Ari Melber that Stone exaggerated his ties to Wikileaks during the 2016 election in order to “ingratiate himself with Donald Trump.”
“He’s always trying to ingratiate himself to Trump,” Nunberg said. “I don’t care about Trump. It’s irrelevant to me if I have a relationship with him again. Roger does. They have a long relationship.”
Roger Stone told Sam Nunberg he “met with Assange” in “early August”.

Stone has caught the eye of Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Trump campaign’s Russia ties because of his suspected contacts with Wikileaks, which dumped the emails from Clinton’s campaign during the election.
Nunberg said that Stone told him he met with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in August 2016, but Stone claims that was simply a joke.
Nunberg is of course most famous for his prolific — if slightly unhinged — press tour trumpeting his defiance of a grand jury subpoena in the Russia investigation. He eventually testified before the grand jury, but his dizzying media appearances led many to question his state of mind and sobriety.
