Rosie O’Donnell Tweets Report of Unearthed Post on Joy Reid’s Blog Calling Her a ‘Chubbed-Out Shrew’

The jury is still out on whether or not MSNBC host Joy Reid is being truthful about claims that her decade-old blog was hacked and loaded with anti-gay writings. Among those newly-discovered posts was a 2007 piece critical toward Rosie O’Donnell — who apparently has been watching the entire controversy unfold online.

The actress tweeted a Free Beacon report with the headline “Joy Reid Blog Mocked ‘Chubbed-Out Shrew’ Rosie O’Donnell, Backed ‘Kick-Ass Funny’ Donald Trump,” adding a single hashtag to her post: “#hmmmmmmmmmmm.”

The old blog post, featured on the news personality’s former site “The Reid Report,”  taunted O’Donnell over her feud with President Donald Trump — who she described as “kick-ass funny.”

“How much longer until that chubbed-out shrew Rosie O’Donnell gets her fat ass canned by Babwa?” Reid wrote, mocking Barbara Walters’ voice (the two worked together on The View at the time). “How much longer will the freak show that is ‘The View’ continue to darken our television screens?”

O’Donnell responded to several Twitter users that she didn’t know if Reid wrote the posts herself. “Hope it’s not true,” she wrote in one tweet, adding in another, “I hope it’s not true.”

The FBI is currently probing whether Reid’s blog was, in fact, hacked. As several outlets have pointed out, the hacker would have had to gain access to Reid’s blog before January 14th, 2007 at 06:52 a.m., when the Library of Congress archived “The Reid Report.” The host apologized in December 2017 for previously unearthed posts from the same blog that included statements critics described as “homophobic.”
