Rudy Giuliani On Whether Trump and Cohen Paid Off Women Other Than Stormy Daniels: ‘If it Was Necessary…’
Despite not yet having all his facts straight, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was out in front of the camera again Sunday morning speaking on behalf of President Donald Trump. And once again, Giuliani’s freewheeling comments seem likely to introduce a whole new set of questions for his client.
Speaking with George Stephanopoulos on This Week, Giuliani spoke at length about the payment made to Stormy Daniels by Trump attorney Michael Cohen — in an effort to clarify (or perhaps muddy) who knew what when.
Roughly halfway through the marathon 20-minute interview, Stephanopoulos asked Giuliani about the possibility of the Daniels hush money payout not being an isolated incident.
“Did Michael Cohen make other payments to other women for the president?” Stephanopoulos said.
“I have no knowledge of that. But I would think if it was necessary, yes,” Giuliani said. “He made payments for the president. He conducted business for the president. he had legal fees, monies laid out, and expenditures. Which I have on my bills to my clients.”
Why do we have a hunch another post-interview clarification from Giuliani is forthcoming?
