Rupert Murdoch Describes His Relationship With His Editors: ‘Not Really In Touch’
One of the biggest issues at the heart of Rupert Murdoch‘s testimony to the British Parliamentary Committee of Culture, Media and Sport is identifying what sort of culpability the News Corp. CEO had over the editorial management of the now defunct News of the World operation in light of the phone hacking scandal and alleged cover-up that has followed.
When pressed over this very issue by a presiding MP, Murdoch revealed that he was “not really in touch” with his editors in a comment that reveals a detached hands-off management style, but some skeptics might see as a thinly veiled effort for exoneration.
