Sanders: My Polling Against Trump Should Be Factor for Dems, Even If I Trail in Delegates

Andrea Mitchell confronted Bernie Sanders today on what he plans on doing if he loses California and his path to victory is virtually nonexistent.

Sanders acknowledged “it’s gonna be very hard for us to win” if he doesn’t have a majority of delegates. And then he said this:

“The only fact that I think remains uncertain is if we continue to be running significantly stronger than she is against Donald Trump or whoever the Republican nominee will be––I think that’s a factor.”

The Sanders campaign has been making this argument for days, and campaign manager Jeff Weaver indicated they’d be making it to Clinton’s superdelegates.
