Sarah Palin Signs Multi-Year Deal As Fox News Contributor
Sarah Palin will “host an occasional series” on Fox News after signing on with the network as a contributor, the New York Times is reporting. This blockbuster cable news move ends rampant speculation about Palin’s new career plans since after she announced her resignation as the governor of Alaska in July. As if Fox needs the ratings help!
The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series.
Details remain scarce but the report notes that “the deal could be formally announced as early as this afternoon.” Mediaite has approached Fox News for comment, though we’ll all certainly know more soon enough.
