Sarah Palin Source on Brawl: Nuh-uh, Other Side Started It

This week’s comic relief from Ray Rice and ISIS was a giant drunken brawl at an Alaskan bar involving a good chunk of the Palin family. Various stories have had Track Palin exchanging words with with an old boyfriend of Willow, Bristol Palin throwing punches, and Mama Grizzly herself yelling “Do you know who I am?!?!”

The Palins have not commented on the fracas, but a source close to the family told Real Clear Politics that the contretemps was actually instigated by Willow’s old boyfriend, not the other way around:

The initial tussle occurred, the source said, after the young man in question “tried to get in” to the Hummer limousine after he’d engaged in some unspecified “questionable behavior.”

Track Palin soon found himself struggling to fend off four men who had “piled on him,” according to the source.

Todd Palin then inserted himself into the brawl, which left the former “First Dude” of Alaska bleeding.

According to this version, the former vice presidential nominee then yelled “Do you know who he is? He’s a vet,” referring to her son. This would be what’s reported elsewhere as Palin demanding “Do you know who I am?”

I think we can all agree that this should be litigated through a protracted public process.
