Sen. Carl Levin’s Office Reportedly Evacuated Because Of ‘Suspicious Letter’
Democratic Sen. Carl Levin‘s office in Saginaw, Mich., has reportedly been evacuated after a “suspicious package” was received there. This marks the third such “suspicious” letter report in the last 48 hours, with one being intercepted this morning on its way to President Obama and a ricin-tainted letter being discovered on its way to Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS) yesterday.
One of Levin’s staff members reportedly flagged the letter at the Michigan office and contacted the authorities immediately. The congressman himself is currently in Washington, D.C.
The entire office was evacuated as a “precaution” because the package reportedly matched the description of the letters also sent to Wicker and Obama.
