Sen. Joni Ernst Will Deliver GOP Response to State of the Union

Newly-elected Senator Joni Ernst will be delivering the official Republican response to President Obama‘s State of the Union address next Tuesday.

The Iowa Republican rose to national prominence last year after her campaign ad about castrating pigs on a farm got national attention and went viral.

In a press release sent out today, Ernst says, “I am truly honored to deliver the Republican address. It’s a long way from Red Oak, Iowa to Washington, D.C. But now that I am here, I am excited to get to work in order to craft and implement real solutions as we chart a new path forward for our great nation.”

Both John Boehner and Mitch McConnell also give her words of praise for her determination and dedication to the American people.
