Paul Manafort has been subpoenaed by the Senate Judiciary Committee, compelling the former Donald Trump campaign manager to testify about his business dealings with foreign governments.
Due to his history of involvement with international affairs, Manafort has been viewed by many as a relevant figure to the investigations into Russia’s 2016 election interference. Manafort drew renewed attention recently due to the revelations about his involvement with Donald Trump Jr.‘s meeting with a Russian lawyer who was supposedly going to offer anti-Hillary Clinton information to the Trump campaign.
Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley and Senator Dianne Feinstein issued their subpoena on Monday night, and Manafort will appear before them on Wednesday.
