Singer John Legend Slams SCOTUS Hobby Lobby Decision
While liberal pundits and politicians voiced their distress at Monday’s Supreme Court ruling against the Affordable Care Act mandating that “closely held” corporations like Hobby Lobby provide contraceptive access in employee health care plans, celebrities began to come out of the woodwork to express theirs.
The first notable instance was singer John Legend, who took to Twitter to demonstrate what seems like bewilderment at the very nature of this SCOTUS case:
I'm amazed that we're debating women's access to CONTRACEPTION in 2014.

The “All of Me” writer and performer is an outspoken supporter of President Barack Obama, campaigning for him in both the 2008 and 2012 elections. While not typically vocal about politics, Legend has also taken part in advocacy for public school choice, among other causes.
