So, Um, Paramount Just Released the Trailer for Brad Pitt’s New Movie

So Paramount just released the trailer for Brad Pitt‘s new movie. Interesting timing there.

And let’s be clear about something. This is not a case of “they released the trailer earlier today and then the Brangelina divorce was announced.” No, this trailer was posted on YouTube and Twitter hours after the reports on the split.

And what makes this even more interesting is the fact that his co-star Marion Cotillard has been dragged into the gossip surrounding the divorce.

First, read this description of the movie Allied and see if it rings any bells:

Pitt and Cotillard will play assassins who fall in love during a mission to kill a German official. They soon marry, but their romance is cut short when Pitt learns a devastating secret about his wife that prompts him to turn on her.

That sounds quite a bit like Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the movie that basically kicked off Jolie and Pitt’s relationship.

As for Cotillard, there has been gossip going around that Jolie decided to divorce Pitt after finding out he was supposedly cheating with his co-star.

Sources close to the situation have denied Cotillard had anything to do with it.
