Stephen A. Smith Says Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis Would’ve Been Fired if He Were White
Following the Cincinnati Bengals 28-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Stephen A. Smith called for Bengals coach Marvin Lewis to be fired, and said that if he were white, he would’ve already been dismissed.
Smith made the assertion during Monday’s episode of First Take.
“In some situations…if it was a white coach, they’d have been out of here by now,” Smith said.

He added: “How this man still has this job is beyond me.”
Lewis — who has been the Bengals’ coach since 2003 — faced high expectations this season following last year’s AFC North title, but the team has gotten off to a mediocre 2-3 start.
“This dude doesn’t get it done,” Smith said of Lewis. “It’s just that simple.”
