Stephen Colbert Dares Trump to Be a Guest on His Show

Stephen Colbert has laid down the gauntlet and dared Donald Trump to appear as a guest on The Late Show.

Colbert may be off the air, but Trump hasn’t been too far from his mind. A few months ago, he released a video online mocking Trump’s brash and unfiltered campaign announcement. And yesterday, he hoped Trump would still be going by the time his show starts, joking about “dry Trumping” in the interim.

So on Entertainment Tonight tonight, when asked about having Trump on his show, Colbert said, “This is not an invitation, Mr. Trump. This is a dare. I dare you to come on the show.”

He added, less seriously, “Please, Mr. Trump. Take care of yourself. Take your vitamins. Don’t do anything dangerous. Just stay healthy and engaged in the political process until September 9th.”
