Suspected Cop Killer Eric Frein Arrested After Weeks-Long Manhunt
After seven weeks on the run, Eric Frein has finally been caught and arrested by Pennsylvania State Police for killing Corporal Byron Dickson and wounding trooper Alex T. Douglass.
A spokesperson for the Pennsylvania State Police told reporters, “I can confirm that we have taken Eric Frein into custody. Further information will be released at a later time. No further information will be released or confirmed at this time.”
Multiple reports are saying U.S. marshals cornered Frein at the Pocono Mountain Airport, where he was hiding in an airport hangar. Frein reportedly surrendered.
Police had used a large Mylar balloon to search for Frein, but it ended up being unhelpful in the case and was returned a day later.
