Ted Cruz Scares Little Girl: ‘Your World Is on Fire’

During a pre-campaign stop at the Turbocam facility in New Hampshire Sunday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) finally got someone to take his warnings about the Obama administration’s foreign policy seriously: a three-year-old girl.

“The Obama/Clinton foreign policy of leading from behind — the whole world’s on fire,” Cruz intoned.

“The whole world’s on fire?” asked a clearly-worried young girl in the crowd. (Per the Washington Post, this was three-year-old Julie Trant.)

“Yes,” Cruz said, “your world is on fire.”

“But your mommy’s here, and everyone’s here to make sure that the world you grow up in is even better,” he recovered, to applause.
