The Orlando Nightclub Shooter Has Reportedly Been Identified
Details are beginning to trickle in about the shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando last night that left 20 dead and more injured, and one news outlet is already reporting a name.
CBS News (UPDATE –– other outlets have corroborated) is reporting this morning an ID for the shooter, based on law enforcement sources:
Two law enforcement sources tell @cbsnews the Orlando gay club shooter is Omar Mateen – a U.S. citizen from Port Saint Lucie, FL.

The FBI said at a press conference hours ago that it’s possible radical Islamic terrorism may have been a motive, though that has not been confirmed yet.
