This NBA Mascot’s Insanely Quick Dive on the Court During Game Surely Prevented a Nasty Fall

This mascot’s got some moves.

During the fourth quarter of Tuesday night’s game between the Phoenix Suns and the Washington Wizards, Phoenix’s mascot, called “The Suns Gorilla,” saw a drumstick sliding out onto the court. Apparently, no one else on the floor saw it, and play was not stopped.

So it was up to the Suns Gorilla to save someone from a potentially nasty trip. The gorilla quickly dove on the court, grabbed the drumstick and scurried off. All in the span of about three seconds.

At least one of the Wizards players clearly saw the gorilla on the court. But evidently, none of the referees did. So play was not interrupted.

Awesome stuff. Watch above, via ABC and Fox Sports Arizona.
