Thou Shalt Not Use Thy Bible as a Weapon: Argument Over 10 Commandments Results in Arrests
Two Atlanta residents were charged with battery after a disagreement over the Ten Commandments turned into a “no your team sucks”-level slugfest this weekend.
The argument broke out between Carolyn Unfricht and Daniel Camarda in a hotel room in Cartersville, and got so out of control that Unfricht hit Camarda in the face with a Bible, at which point Camarda threw Unfricht across the room. According to police reports, the two were “highly intoxicated.”
It is unclear which of the ten laws the two were arguing about, of if it was more of a general interpretive disagreement. However, it is not the first instance of a theological dispute gone wrong.
