Tracy Morgan’s Family Denies Rumors About Leg Amputation

There was a rumor going around today that actor Tracy Morgan, who’s currently in the hospital after a truck crashed into his limo car, may have to get his leg amputated because it was crushed in the accident. Well, Morgan’s family put out a statement today dismissing that as nothing but a false rumor.

Morgan’s fiancé (through a PR representative) released a statement saying, in part, “The concern for his well-being has been overwhelming, but Megan is respectfully asking that the media await official word through these channels before speculating (mostly inaccurately) on his condition.”

Morgan is reportedly “more responsive” after spending a day in the hospital. The driver of the truck that caused the accident was, according to police, asleep behind the wheel and had been awake for over 24 hours.
