Trump Jokes About Melania Leaving the White House at Gridiron Dinner

Last night at the Gridiron Dinner, President Trump cracked a few jokes about the recent chaos at the White House.
In the past week, Hope Hicks announced her resignation, Trump attacked his own attorney general, Jared Kushner‘s security clearance was downgraded, John Kelly is under scrutiny again for his handling of the Rob Porter scandal, and there’s been more reporting about H.R. McMaster leaving soon.
According to CNN, Trump joked about a lot of it, including references to both Sessions and Kushner, but he also said this:
“So many people have been leaving the White House,” Trump joked. “It’s actually been really exciting and invigorating ’cause you want new thoughts. So I like turnover. I like chaos. It is really good. Now, the question everybody keeps asking: Who’s going to be the next to leave, Steve Miller or Melania?”
The President joked about the media (of course), acknowledged his habit of watching Fox & Friends, and even got in digs against Democrats like Elizabeth Warren and Maxine Waters.
Regarding Waters, NPR reports Trump said, “‘He must be impeached!’ That’s all she knows how to say. And I say — and I get in trouble for this — ‘She has to immediately take an IQ test,’ and people go crazy.”
