Trump Slams Democrats Over ‘Weak’ Borders, Teases: ‘We Will Be Taking Strong Action Today’
President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to again rail against Democrats over the United States’ “weak” borders, and teased that his administration “will be taking strong action today” on immigration.
“Our Border Laws are very weak while those of Mexico & Canada are very strong,” Trump wrote. “Congress must change these Obama era, and other, laws NOW! The Democrats stand in our way – they want people to pour into our country unchecked….CRIME! We will be taking strong action today.”

Trump on Tuesday surprised many when he declared during a press availability with Baltic leaders that he would be dispatching the U.S. military to secure the Southern Border with Mexico “until we can have a wall and proper security.”
The president added in a subsequent tweet that “We are not in a trade war with China,” which comes as Beijing announced tariffs on a number of U.S. products, leading many to believe a trade war between the two powers is on the horizon.
We are not in a trade war with China, that war was lost many years ago by the foolish, or incompetent, people who represented the U.S. Now we have a Trade Deficit of $500 Billion a year, with Intellectual Property Theft of another $300 Billion. We cannot let this continue!
