Trump to America: ‘WE WORSHIP GOD!’

Following a busy morning of tweeting that featured a direct shot at Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) for not voting for the motion to proceed on the health care debate, more public humiliation for Jeff Sessions and the announcement of a transgender ban in the military, President Donald Trump got the afternoon going with a message to America.
Sharing an Instagram video clip from his rally last night, the president explained that “We WORSHIP GOD!”

There was, of course, immediate reaction:
Q: Have you ever asked God for forgiveness?
A: “I don’t think so. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”

All this feels like a misread of where cultural politics have gone. Trump won by picking up not-so-religious northern whites.

Just saw that Trump is tweeting about God, so I'm assuming he's trying to get God to quit.

Besides making an appeal to Christians at his rally last night, Trump utilized the Ohio appearance to claim he could be one of the most presidential presidents in history and mocked a protester by saying the young man’s “mommy” probably voted for Trump.
