At today’s White House press briefing, Sean Spicer was asked about President Donald Trump‘s decision to joke about The Apprentice during this morning’s National Prayer Breakfast.
Arnold Schwarzenegger got sassy in his response to Trump, but Spicer took a more poetic route.
“He meant it as a light-hearted moment,” he said. “And I think if you look at the totality of his remarks, they were absolutely beautiful and I think to hone in on that, it was a light-hearted moment he was trying to have…”
Immediately after that, Spicer announced he wouldn’t be in tomorrow, then turned and walked out as reporters continued to ask questions.
