Twitter Co-Founder Biz Stone Talks To Himself In Stoli Vodka Ad

Normally when you start seeing double, you know it’s time to stop drinking. Stoli’s new ad campaign, which features people drinking vodka and talking to themselves, thinks otherwise. And so does Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, who, like Hugh Hefner and Julia Stiles before him, interviews himself over some Stoli. The thirty-second video has Stone geting slightly confrontational with himself, asking, “This is the best you can do?” and “Did it ever occur to you that maybe Twitter is a constant stream of meaningless babble?” Clearly, it has.

Something of a hard liquor version of Dos Equis’ “Most Interesting Man in the World” campaign, the Stoli campaign flies under the tagline “Would You Have a Drink With You?” True to the slogan, the ads get introspective. In the Julia Stiles spot, the actress is seen rationalizing her career decisions to herself. Stone, too, gets defensive in his ad, wherein the Twitter co-founder and creative director is forced to defend his company from the criticisms lobbed by his döppelganger (or subconscious?). Watch the psychological drama unfold in the video below.
