Twitter Trolls the Hell Out of Trump’s Mexico Visit with #TrumpsMexicoTripSayings
Another day, another surprise move by Donald Trump, another political hashtag to mock him to bits.
The GOP presidential nominee is making a surprise trip to visit President Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico Wednesday, which strikes political observers as odd considering how Trump somewhat built his platform by antagonizing undocumented immigrants and Hispanics as a whole. The purpose of the meeting is unclear, considering how President Peña Nieto has expressly condemned Trump in the past, but it’s likely that Trump thinks the move will demonstrate leadership and outreach to Hispanics.
Mexican officials have started making their complaints known about Trump’s upcoming visit. While it isn’t clear how it originated, the hashtag #TrumpsMexicoTripSayings has been trending on Twitter for hours as people condemn Trump, and call the trip a certain disaster.
