An old interview with Kelly Craft, the U.S. ambassador to Canada, gained traction on social media Thursday — with many on Twitter roasting Craft for a comment she made on climate change.
Speaking with the CBC last October, made this head-scratching remark on climate science:
“I think that both sides have their own results, from their studies, and I appreciate and I respect both sides of the science,” Craft said.
Both sides of the science. Yeesh.
Twitter has gotten hold of the unearthed unearth clip, and has proceeded to dunk on Craft:
Me: “Doc, what’s the diagnosis?”
Doctor: “I’m afraid you have cancer.”
Me: “Hmm. What’s the other side of the science?”
Doctor: “You don’t have cancer.”
Me: “Wow, I feel better already.” https://t.co/umuRFpfQap— Robert Draper (@DraperRobert) December 6, 2018
I know this isn’t new, but it’s worth a reminder that the U.S. Ambassador to Canada — Kelly Craft — thinks there’s legitimate climate science on “both sides.”

What the heck is she talking about?
The United States is embarrassing itself all over the globe.
Sometimes there are two sides of an argument, sometimes not.
The science on climate change is increasingly clear. Objective truth is real to everyone but fools. https://t.co/LqoJeeDJhM— Richard W. Painter (@RWPUSA) December 6, 2018

She doesn’t sound any more moronic than when Bill Maher talks about science; it just looks dumber and is easier to mock when a blond woman doesn’t know what she’s talking about. https://t.co/tsA1M0VsR8

Well, one side is science and one is not. Do you believe in both sides of whether the earth is flat or not? The perniciousness of today’s “both-sides-ism” is that it tried to cast doubt on established fact. There aren’t two sides to a falsehood. https://t.co/wD1LqU0LJf

Very fine people on both sides of climate change science, says Kelly Craft, who’s married to a coal magnate. https://t.co/xn2wTqRwNY
