Watch: Cruz Gets Interrupted by Fake-Vomiting Heckler Who Shouts: ‘Ted Cruz Looks So Weird!’

Considering how Ted Cruz has been presented by some as Donald Trump-lite, it only makes sense that he has faced protesters and hecklers throughout his presidential campaign. Cruz held a rally last night to drum up last minute support for the Iowa caucus, but he didn’t get far into his opener before he had to deal with an… unusual interruption.

Moments after Cruz came out and welcomed the audience, a member in the back started ribbing the Texas senator by yelling “Ted Cruz looks so weird!”

The Washington Examiner reported that this heckling continued on a little bit longer before the man reportedly pretended to throw up into a trash can. The man, who was described as looking “ill,” was soon escorted out, and Cruz responded with quips of “I guess the bars let out early,” and “Is that Donald Trump yelling in the back?”
